​In this duet, contemporary dance and street dance meet to explore different physical ways of standing up and lying down; from its most pedestrian form, to its most sophisticated expression.

​This piece is an ode to gravity, where the verticality drawn by the two dancers keeps evolving and repeating itself. The composition allows each little difference to emerge, exalting the journey, rather than the arrival.

Duet and Shifting Ground is a work commissioned by the Théâtre du Jura in the context of the Bis Bâle project, which aim is to establish a cultural bridge between the regions of Basel and Jura in Switzerland.

This project is made thanks to the support and the collaboration of "The Movement", dance school based in Pratteln.
