Professional classes

In his classes for advanced or professional dancers, Tommy has developed a practice inspired by a conscious approach to the body through somatic methodologies, combined with practice inspired by physical theatre and Tanztheater.

This awareness aims to lead dancers to optimize their expressive and physical skills.

His classes include various exercises that highlight the application of somatic processes in a dynamic context. He likes to focus on spinal mobility, the use of floor work, and the presence and interpretation of the performer.

His technical practice is inspired by various contemporary dance techniques that he has practiced over the years, but also by methods such as Feldenkrais or the Alexander Technique. Another source of inspiration that is an integral part of his attention to the notion of intention and presence of the performer comes from years of practice in physical theater and Tanztheater, as well as from various experiences in traditional dances of southern Italy such as the Pizzica and other tarantellas.

Tommy is also graduated in Pilates Reformer and Matwork from the Accademia Italiana Fitness.

Over the past five years, Tommy has conducted movement or dance workshops in Switzerland, Spain, Denmark, Italy, the United Kingdom, and France.

These workshops were aimed at various groups, including people of different ages with no experience in movement, professional dancers or dance students, or actors.

Presence and Intention

This workshop offers dancers a unique opportunity to bridge somatic practices with technical and expressive movement. Drawing on influences from contemporary dance, Tanztheater, and somatic methodologies like Feldenkrais and Alexander Technique, Tommy guides participants through a journey of heightened physical awareness and artistic exploration.

Through dynamic exercises and reflective prompts, participants rediscover their connection to their bodies, the space, and their emotions. The workshop emphasizes developing presence, intention, and personal creativity, culminating in the creation of individual and collective dance phrases.

Focused on the question, "What moves you?", this workshop empowers dancers to rethink their choices in movement, bringing depth and meaning to their performance. Ideal for professional dancers and performers seeking to refine their artistry.
