Tommy Cattin is a Swiss and Italian dance artist who works as a free-lance performer, choreographer and dance teacher.
​
In 2025, Tommy focuses mainly on his solo performances and choreographic work. In 2024, he has been teaching in many important dance institutions for professional dancers in Switzerland and Spain.
In summer 2024, he was selected by PRO HELVETIA to be part of the ATLAS Programme of the IMPULSTANZ International Dance Festival, where he could meet several important dance makers and practitioners of our time and presented his own work as choreographer. ​​
​
​​​​​Previously, Tommy created his company, EREM dance, in Switzerland in 2020 after several years spent abroad dancing and studying. Since 2020, he has created with this company a few dance pieces, that were showcased in Switzerland, and in Italy.
​As a professional dancer and choreographer, Tommy has both danced or showcased his works in many countries in Europe. He has taken part in different festivals and danced on the stages of the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, Teatros del Canal in Madrid, at the Danish Opera, Theater Basel, the House of Berliner Festspiele, at the Wiener Festwochen, amongst others.
For the last years, Tommy has also been involved in different creation processes and has been given the opportunity to teach several workshops and dance classes in Switzerland, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark and in the UK.

As part of his artistic journey, Tommy was able to study or collaborate with a wide range of international dance artists and companies such as Marcos Morau, Pau Aran, Marie Chouinard, Trisha Brown Company, Batsheva Ensemble, Damien Jalet, Jasmine Morand, Fabio Liberti, Igor & Moreno, Lali Ayguadé, Susanne Kennedy, David Zambrano, amongst many others.​
​​Tommy graduated from the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds (UK) with a Master's degree in Contemporary Dance Performance. Previously, he completed his Bachelor's degree in contemporary dance at the Trinity Laban Conservatory of Music and Dance in London, where he received the Simone Michelle Award for his choreography.
As part of the Erasmus programme, he also studied at the Institut del Teatre in Barcelona.
In 2019 he took part in the Biennale of Dance in Venice, directed by Marie Chouinard, where he performed pieces by Alessandro Sciarroni and Trisha Brown. Simoultanouelsy, he was able to enrich his own practice through an intense program of somatic practices.
Between 2018 and 2019, Tommy was a member of the Black Box Dance Company in Denmark.
